Victória Albuquerque Silva
I currently work as a UX Writer and accessibility consultant. Before that, I've worked with text editing and translation (English <> Portuguese), subtitling, and pedagogical and linguistic support.
My background is primarily in the area of Linguistics: I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in this area at the University of Brasília. Now, I am currently finishing a postgraduate in User Experience Design and Beyond at PUC-RS.
I'm a Portuguese native speaker and have an advanced level in English and Libras and an intermediate level in French and Spanish.
During this journey, the software I used the most was: Office Package, Figma, Miro, Inboarding, UXCam, Useberry and Notion.

As an accessibility consultant for Rádio Eixo, I work primarily with creating image and video descriptions for posts on social media, in addition to supporting initiatives (such as content transcription) for the network's website.

In my first bachelor degree, in addition to studying English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Sign Language, as well as the culture of the people who speak them, I did researches with the theme of subtitles and accessibility in multilingual works, and I also participated in the research and extension group Acesso Livre, where I worked on accessibility projects in the cultural environment.

I worked in the projects department of Quimera, Junior Company, working from a trainee to vice-director of projects. I organized project scope using the kanban and waterfall methods, managed the company's document memory, and worked on delivering translations, revisions, ABNT, APA and Michigan formatting, subtitling, audio transcription and multilingual reception at events.

At the end of my Master degree, I worked as a teaching intern, teaching classes in the subject of Special Topics in Applied Foreign Languages, on audiovisual translation methods and accessibility.

UX Writer, at Localiza&Co
2022 - now
I started working at Localiza as a Design Assistant, within the UX Writing team. In November 2023, I was promoted to the position of Junior UX Writer. I worked with digital product content, on the Localiza Meoo website, app and chatbot. Now, I work with Liza, Localiza's virtual assistant, using GenIA. In addition, I am part of Acessibiliza, the company's accessibility study and application cell .

I chose the Translation and Sociodiscursive Practices line, and developed a dissertation on accessibility in video games, with the creation of a tool to verify the level of accessibility of games.
Bachelor degree in Portuguese and its Respective Literature for Teaching, at University of Brasília

During my second bachelor degree, I continued to participate in the Acesso Livre group, and as a monograph, I developed the Dicionário Brasileiro de Poesiologismos (Brazilian Dictionary of Poesiologism).

At Natural, I was part of the linguistic-pedagogical team, part-time. In the linguistic area, I worked with data collection and organization to feed the AI system. On the pedagogical side, I provided support to language teachers, in addition to translating, revising and writing multilingual texts (in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese).
